To the photographer just starting out,

Keep going.

I remember feeling lost, scared, and completely discouraged.

Scrolling through Instagram, I saw photographers that had mastered their craft and were crushing the game. I would look back at my work and think, "why doesn't mine look like theirs?". The comparison game was real.

Here is the truth that I didn't realize at the time. The photographers I was comparing myself to were 5, 10, sometimes even 20 years into photography. I had just picked up a camera 6 months ago.

No one starts out having mastered their craft. Whether it's editing, posing, social media, or just running a business in general,...it takes time. It takes time to learn & grow.

I contemplated giving up my dream of a photography business more times than I could ever count. No one ever told me that it was a normal part of the learning process to feel discouraged and inadequate.

So I'm here to tell you once again, keep going.

I'm here to help YOU.

Exactly how I’m feeling now. Scared, anxious and comparing so much. I have a lot of shoots next week, and I’m the lead photographer so posing etc is stressing me out so much
